1 John 3:7

If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. ye know that every: or, know ye etc. is born: Gr. has been born

(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

[A Psalm for Solomon.] Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son. for: or, of He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment. The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor. They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. so long...: Heb. till there be no moon

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. disobedience: or, unbelief

But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right, that...: Heb. judgment and justice And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman, And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment; He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man, Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.
