2 Chronicles 9:7

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. destroyed: Heb. broken

The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom. of wisdom: Heb. of heart

Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. the beauty: or, the delight

Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. I had...: Heb. I would choose rather to sit at the threshold For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
