Genesis 14:18

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. blessed it: many Greek copies have gave thanks And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? of a...: Heb. sons of a year?

For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him. If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
