Genesis 27:29

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. his servant: or, servant to them

And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son? sustained: or, supported

It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. elder: or, greater younger: or, lesser

How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. set: Heb. anointed upon...: Heb. upon Zion, the hill of my holiness I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. the decree: or, for a decree Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver; Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me. triumph...: or, triumph thou over me: (by an irony Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom? strong...: Heb. city of strength? Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies? Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. help of man: Heb. salvation, etc Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border. Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.
