Job 22:29

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. I will overturn...: Heb. Perverted, perverted, perverted, will I make it

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: that...: or, as being righteous Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
