Joel 2:17

And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed. revenging: Heb. vengeance

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? sword: or, killing

O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?

Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small. by...: or, who of (or, for,) Jacob shall stand?

The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD; the priests, the LORD'S ministers, mourn.

Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,

Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.

And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.

Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets. Then...: or, And thou wilt see her that is mine enemy, and cover her with shame shall she...: Heb. she shall be for a treading down
