Luke 6:11

When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.

Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,

Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. held...: or, took counsel But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? rage: or, tumultuously assemble imagine: Heb. meditate The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
