Obadiah 1:4

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! O Lucifer: or, O day star For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil! coveteth...: or, gaineth and evil gain power...: Heb. palm of the hand

Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds; clouds: Heb. cloud Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?

Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:

Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high? at...: Heb. by thy mouth She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.

Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the LORD.

Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.
