Proverbs 16:28

He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. seeketh: or, procureth

A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Yea...: Heb. And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men's words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?

For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord. soweth: Heb. casteth forth

A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.
