Psalms 10:3

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.

Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few. For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings? Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus? As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.

Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names. all...: Heb. generation and generation Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish. This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah. approve...: Heb. delight in their mouth

Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself. while...: Heb. in his life

But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it. violence: or, incursion

And Saul said, Blessed be ye of the LORD; for ye have compassion on me.

And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
