Psalms 119:144

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.

The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom. of wisdom: Heb. of heart

TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: For: or, For that But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful. righteous: Heb. righteousness faithful: Heb. faithfulness

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. destroyed: Heb. cut off

Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
