Psalms 18:48

[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; violent...: Heb. man of violences

O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them. violent: Heb. terrible

[To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David; when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him.] Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me. Altaschith...: or, Destroy not Michtam: or, A golden Psalm defend...: Heb. set me on high Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.

Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations. All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. an...: or, an evil speaker (Heb. a man of tongue), a wicked man of violence, be established in the earth: let him be hunted to his overthrow
