Psalms 27:12

False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not. False...: Heb. Witnesses of wrong they...: Heb. they asked me

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. thou...: or, do not thou deliver

Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God. And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council, And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:

By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub. And he enquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.

Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If the LORD have stirred thee up against me, let him accept an offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed be they before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, Go, serve other gods. accept: Heb. smell abiding: Heb. cleaving

For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial: bloody...: Heb. man of blood The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man. behold...: Heb. behold thee in thy evil

Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up. Ah...: Heb. Ah, ah, our soul

And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.
