Psalms 33:20

[A Psalm of David.] Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: strength: Heb. rock to war...: Heb. to the war, etc My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. My goodness: or, My mercy

And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

[To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David.] Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. Truly: or, Only waiteth: Heb. is silent He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. defence: Heb. high place

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. I say...: or, which watch unto

O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. renew: Heb. change

And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
