Psalms 59:7

My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. poureth: Heb. belcheth, or, bubbleth

He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.

There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are! height of the stars: Heb. head of the stars And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud? How: or, What

Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it. Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise? He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? matter: or, speech of...: Heb. to hide his snares

Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
