Psalms 77:7

[To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.] LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. for the sons: or, of the sons favourable: or, well pleased

Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?

For the Lord will not cast off for ever: But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

[Maschil of Asaph.] O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? Maschil...: or, A Psalm for Asaph to give instruction

[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? chief...: or, overseer How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, of Elias: Gr. in Elias?

But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.

Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
