Psalms 88:8

I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.

Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.

He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy. Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer. He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.

He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.

He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

They abhor me, they flee far from me, and spare not to spit in my face. and...: Heb. and withhold not spittle from
