Psalms 89:38

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. abhorred: or, despised

Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?

The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the LORD, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the heathen.

Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously? talk...: or, reason the case with thee

Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.

But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies. Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves. My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me, For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger. All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant. Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way; steps: or, goings Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death. If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god; Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart. Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?

Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me. lothed...: Heb. was straightened for them

My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
